Summer Opportunities at the Library!

Congrats to all graduates and everyone who made it through the school year!

Don't forget that the Teen Summer Reading Program begins on June 9th!
Sign up at the adult reference desk from June 9-July 29th. We have great prizes for reading 3, 6, or 9 books. Our Grand Prizes this year are a bike and a Galaxy tablet! Make sure you are reading and reporting your books for a chance to win some great prizes!

With summer coming, you might be looking for a fun way to occupy some of your time. Look no further than our Junior Volunteers Program!  To be a Junior Volunteer you need to be entering grades 6-12 in the fall.  All you have to do is come to the children's reference desk and fill out an application!

We have lots of great opportunities for you to volunteer, from working in the summer reading booth helping kids report on the books they read, to helping with all the events!  Some of the most popular events include the Fourth of July T-Shirt Decorating Day, Harry Potter Day, and Field Day.  Make sure to come by and sign up to help at whichever ones you want to!

If you are a entering your junior or senior year in high school, you can also volunteer to be a part of our Teen Tech Team! As a volunteer with the Teen Tech Team you will be helping people set up or use their smart mobiledevices, including but not limited to iPhones, iPads, iPods, Kindles, Galaxys, etc.

For more information or to sign up, please contact Jacqueline Luna, Teen Librarian at j.luna@coronado.lib.ca.us or 619-522-2479. Applications can be picked up at the adult or teen reference desks.
