CHS is conducting a free teen heart screening on Sunday, September 15th. This screening is for Sudden Cardiac Arrest syndrome which affects teens without showing any signs or symptoms. It's completely noninvasive and could just save a life.
Teens just need to have their parents fill out a screening packet (located at: www.EPSaveALife.org) and bring it to the screening on September 15th. Their goal is to screen 1000 students, so help them make it!
The library has started a new monthly program exclusively for students in high school. Because our teen programs are open to anyone in the 6th-12th grade, we found that primarily middle schoolers attend our teen events. Our high school only events will give our 9th-12th graders a space that is entirely their own!
Each month will feature a different program, from game days, movie showings, to workshops to hone resume and life skills. The programs will take place one Monday a month in the Winn Room, so be sure to check the calendar for each months event.
Our first event will be Bingo Monday, September 9th at 4pm in the Winn Room. If you're in high school make sure to drop by for a chance to win some fun prizes!
It's a new school year, which means it's time for Games & Grub to return! With the Wii and the xBox, ping pong and board games, and of course plenty of snacks, it's a perfect recipe for fun and excitement!
Bring your friends and stop by! Games & Grub is the first Wednesday of every month and is always at 2:30 in the Winn Room!
