Want a chance to use your artistic abilities to win $100? One lucky student will! Students are being asked to create a poster for this summer's Oz Con using the  Wizard of Oz  as inspiration and our lovely and historic downtown. Oz Con is a fun filled series of events taking place from August 1-10th of this year. It's going to be a great time for all and posters will be displayed in local businesses downtown. The contest is open to students in grades 9-12. All entries must be received by June 2, so get drawing! The Gensler Group in Coronado is offering Coronado High Seniors a chance at a $500 scholarship! In order to be considered, students should submit a 300-500 word essay and an application form by May 15th. The essay prompt is: "Is money the measure of success?" The Library is holding a contest to design our annual 4th of July t-shirt!!!  Your design needs to be 8"x10", and must be all in one color. The design needs to have plenty of places for the kids to embellish with fabric pens, t-shirt paint and glitter.  You need to include the words  "Coronado Library" "4th of July" and "2014" in your shirt design.   Designs and the design contest coupon must be submitted to the library by April 30, 2014 .  Coupons with the rules and more information are available at the library!
