Yoga & Smoothies

Come one come all to our teen event this week!  Today at 2pm, we will meet in the Winn Room for laughter yoga led by Robin Regale.  Afterward, we will have an assortment of different smoothie fixings so you can put together a delicious and nutritious smoothie to enjoy!  Don't forget to Sign Up for our Summer Reading Program if you haven't already! Keep track of the books you've read, bring them in, write a quick report and try for some great prizes!

Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party

Come join us as we kick off our summer reading program! We'll have cupcakes to decorate, board games, and the Wii and xBox ready to play!  This event is for all teens in 6th through 12th grade. We'll meet in the Winn Room! Don't forget to sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Program! It's a fun way to get great prizes just for reading!

Summer Reading Program

The Teen Summer Reading Program has officially begun! You can come in anytime the library is open to sign up or report on the books you read. For a chance to win prizes you just need to come into the library with the book, or books, you read and fill out a short review about them. For the first 3, 6, and 9 books you read you automatically get a prize AND a chance to enter out grand prize drawing.  The Grand Prizes are a bike, generously donated by Hollands , a baseball signed by the Padres' Logan Forsythe, and a Galaxy Tablet! You also get a ticket to enter our weekly raffle for every book you read so start reading! Weekly raffle prizes range from movie tickets to gift certificates to local restaurants and shops! We will have events every Wednesday at 2pm. We’ll start with a kick off party with cupcake decorating and games. The rest of the summer will include crafts, movies and events. Summer Volunteer Opportunities

With summer coming,  you might be looking for a fun way to occupy some of your time. Look no further than our Junior Volunteers Program!  To be a Junior Volunteer you need to be entering grades 6-12 in the fall.  All  you have to do is come to the children's reference desk and fill out an application!   We have lots of great opportunities for you to volunteer, from working in the summer reading booth helping kids report on the books they read, to helping with all the events!  Some of the most popular events include the Fourth of July T-Shirt Decorating Day, Harry Potter Day, and Field Day.  Make sure to come by and sign up to help at whichever ones you want to!
